Blackmores Travel Calm Ginger Tablets X 45
RRP $12.95
$10.99
DESCRIPTION
Taken prior to travelling, ginger may ease the symptoms of nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness.
Features and benefits
- Will not cause drowsiness
How it works
The anti-emetic action of ginger is believed to be due to local gastro-intestinal effects - possibly a partial inhibition of gastric motility. Research has supported the use of ginger in morning sickness, and hyperemesis gravidum (severe vomiting and nausea of pregnancy, which normally requires hospitalisation). The strong anti-emetic action of ginger is considered to be due to the non-volatile pungent principles in ginger (the gingerols and shogaols).
